Characteristics of investment residency in Spain

The acquisition can be made by a natural person or a legal entity (company) that owns 100% of the property. The monetary investment must be free of any charge (mortgage) or encumbrance.

The Residence Authorization for investors authorizes to reside in Spain for an initial period of three years and can be renewed for successive periods of five years, as long as the investment is maintained.

The holder of the residence authorization for investors is not obliged to reside in Spain during the authorized period.
